Description
Original version of the Super Chili Picoso Boost from Catalinbread, with red box and chili graphics. The graphics have worn off in places but the handwritten serial number is still clearly visible on the base.
This is also the version with the Clean/Fat switch.
The SCP is a MOSFET boost, based on the Jack Orman circuit. It’s a warm, musical boost pedal that can add more harmonics to a clean signal, stack with other drive pedals or drive a tube amp into breakup. It can add up to 35db of clean, organic boost to your signal, with a high impedance front end and low impedance output that can drive long cables and increase output to pedals, amps and anything else downstream while preserving every nuance of your tone.
Buffering Mode: turn the boost knob down and you have the perfect buffer, high input impedance, very low output impedance and mirror perfect tone presentation.
Clean Boost Mode: provides upward of 35dB of boost that will help you leap through the mix or drive your amp into a natural overdrive.
In the Fat position, the pedal adds a gritty thickness to the boost.
Use the SCP in front of an overdriven amp to add gain, or try it in the effects loop of an amp to add a switchable volume boost for solos.
